Course Description

This course will examine the works of modern Irish writers from William Butler Yeats, Sean O'Casey, and James Joyce to Seamus Heaney, Roddy Doyle and Maeve Binchy. Focus will be given to the interaction of history, culture and literature in the development of modern Ireland.
